  1. According to the Social Progress Index, in 2015 the happiest country in the world is Norway, actually.
    Check this out: http://ideas.ted.com/why-we-shouldnt-judge-a-country-by-its-gdp/

  2. Reblogged this on Map Of Jo and commented:
Love that Australia made the cut!
As well as my second home, Canada!

  3. interesting

  4. Congratulations to all the winning countries. For those of us from other nations, may we open our hearts and our minds in hopes of learning from these amazing cultures.

  5. Iceland?i have my doubts. Where is Bhutan? I have met some very happy people in Guatemala, although they seemed “poor” by first world standards

  6. As a Swede, I have to disagree with Sweden’s placement on that list. I mean, if anyone ever visit Sweden during the winter, you won’t happen upon anything more than depressed citizens, haha.
But then I’m not sure how exactly to define “happy” in that regard, but I believe there are countries out there far happier than Swedes 🙂

  7. I am from Switzerland. I can’t say that the people in this country look the happiest in the world. The more you possess, the more you fear…
I love my country for the wonderful nature. For security and peace. But it would be good for us swiss, to take life a bit easier and widen our heart to enjoy it… 🙂

  8. yay! i live in both of them (switzerland/finland)!
